Welcome to Gildenhirst, friends! It's a TEST DRIVE MEME!!
Premise, Location and more information on the Main Menu.
Our test drive meme is open to everyone, so please stop by for a little fun and see if you’d enjoy playing with us. The TDM primarily takes place in Gildenhirst, the main hub city for Bravely Borrows. The surrounding area of Caldisla is free game though! Please explore the setting as you desire.
LET'S PLAY DRESS UP
A big part of Bravely Borrows is getting your very own job class! While all characters start the game as a Freelancer and receive a random job asterisk later on, for the sake of testing you may choose from the following job classes to mess around with:
Red Mage ★ Monk ★ Knight ★ Performer ★ Ranger ★ and Freelancer of course If you desire these threads to be canon, an asterisk was simply loaned to them. Please return it at your earliest convenience.
NEED A QUEST?
If you need some direction on how to begin, why not gaze upon some sample quests? Go on a journey. Fuck around and find out. They are completely optional– write whatever prompts you want!
Eggs Aplenty
Oh no. Oh dear. There has been a horrible series of mistakes surrounding ChantiLilly’s egg delivery. For one thing, it was delivered to the Central Market on the Ground Floor! For another thing, there are far too many eggs here. Dozens upon dozens upon dozens of eggs. The bakery’s Patissiere would be grateful if you could help bring these eggs up to his bakery in Rooftop Gardens. You’ll get some gold and some fresh eggs for your troubles.
This Bunny’s Buggin Me
A farmer from Norende is going batty over the swarm of bunnies that have been getting into his fields. Help a fella out, won’t ya? They are swarming en masse and ruining the spring start ups! Don’t expect to be able to herd them out without a fight though– these rabbies really pack a punch! They’re also carnivorous so…. Watch out?
A Rock and a Hard Place
An avid collector is searching for some new specimens. They’ve heard there are some expansive cave systems in the Norende Heights that just might be the perfect spot to collect some geodes. The only problem is that they’re an eensy teensy bit full of kobolds. You’ll be compensated for your troubles if you’d go collect some rocks, and every actual geode will get an extra reward. Please don’t fall off the cliffs…! The paths are narrow and harrowing at times. Good luck!
Have an excellent time, friends!
Thanks for stopping by ♥
NO IT WAS A COINCIDENCE I FOUND A RACOON IN THE TRASH
"Ye'd be forgiven for thinkin' this place might be Ballonlea, but the colour's right off." In terms of fairytale-looking town nestled amongst the trees though, it checks out. But the number of glowing Fairy Types is zero. "If this was Galar, I'd know."
Blue sighed deeply (for dramatics). "That's what I thought..." She was quick to perk back up though, the grin right back on her face as she shined it at the two of them. "But I also had the feeling you were from Galar! I haven't been there yet, but I hope to get there at some point."
She would have stuck her hand out to shake both of their hands (claws) but ah. Eggs. Yes. They all had eggs. "We should walk together!"
Had a feeling-- said as if he wasn't the most painfully Galar thing in the room. "Well it's the accent, innit..."
He sighs in return, but without the perking himself up after. It was a sigh of I guess I have to interact with people now. He couldn't even avoid it. It'd just be more awkward to not say anything, what with the both of them working on the same task.
Quiet friends were excellent friends too, Piers. Blue would not have been offended if he'd just wanted to quietly hike some eggs up. He hadn't objected though, so now he was just Doomed.
"Ha, that's true!" She whirled back around to confirm that Sienna was good to go with her eggs (yes), chattering along, "It is a pretty distinct accent, but it was your friend more than anything!" Here was a wink for you~ Obstagoon~
"I've met a few Linoones, but I haven't gotten to meet an Obstagoon yet."
"Ah... I've heard they're less rowdy outside've Galar." He glances over at Obstagoon, as if trying to imagine his partner of so many years being anything less than the loud, needy badger he was. In response, very much going aw you love me like this :p, the big furry lets out a cheerful ROAR, before licking his face.
Piers's expression softens, from the grim chagrin of having to do heavy(?) labour with an overly chatty stranger, to fondness. "Just don't seem to fit'im right, though."
Blue giggled a little as the Obstagoon ROARed. There was a snuffle behind her as Sienna reached her long neck over to plop her head on Blue's shoulder, because she could be Big Affectionate too. So there. Blue tilt her head over, pleased with the whole scenario.
"Mmm, I would agree. Being a bit scruffy just fits!" Scruffy dark types were just very good.
Let us commence with these stairs, because these eggs weren't gonna move themselves.
"You're a trainer, then? By the look of you." Like, not many people parading around with a grown charizard who's that well behaved - well, apart from Leon. The former champion had certainly spawned a fervour of Charmander trainers - but not all of them were talented enough to actually tame a fully grown dragon.
"Yep! Guess that's pretty obvious, huh?" Giant monsters made both of them pretty apparent, especially when they were such rowdy ones. Giving her Charizard a little nod-- she'd be fine, go on ahead-- the dragon gave an affirmative smack of its tail as she took to the air. Big ol' dragon feet didn't work so great on lots of stairs.
"My name's Blue! I'm from Kanto. It's nice to meet another trainer all the way out here." Wherever the heck 'out here' was.
Damn fliers... cheating......... Piers watches her go with envy. Look at his skinny, knobbly legs do you think he could survive on a stairmaster??? No.
"Cheers. The name's Piers. I'd shake, but me hands're a touch occupied at the moment."
"I mean, I'd love to attend one! I bet they really get your blood pumping." A whole wild spectacle that would be a delight to see. Sure it'd be a lot of fun, but-- "I'm a bit more of a League tourist these days though, and the Galar League seems like it's a pretty big commitment."
"It is at that... S'been right chaos ever since the 'unbeatable' Champion got unseated last season. Stadium's always been packed, but havin' new blood's got everyone riled up even more now."
(His breathing is getting a little laboured from the stairs. That's probably why he sounds ever so slightly dejected. Or maybe that's just the depression? HARD TO TELL)
Was this a dark type thing. It was probably a dark type thing.
Which meant all Blue could do was respect it! "That's true. Up and up then!"
She was going to keep a watchful eye on his progress though, just in case. There were a few to many steps here to let his pride take him to the brink of collapsing even if she was keen on letting him do his stubborn thing.

Blue laughed, gingerly shifting the eggs she had picked up in her arms. "No worries. We can shake later if we can still feel our hands."
Piers from Galar was ringing the tiniest of bells somewhere deep in her mind. Weird!

In fact his arms are already starting to get tired. Noodle arm life.
"I wager you've interest in the Champion Cup. Most trainers with an eye on Galar are."

Go often was what Blue had been going to ask, but glancing over at him gave that a bit of pause. "... Want to take a break?"
no subject
This is not a man who works out. This is a man with anemia. HE'S STILL POWERING THROUGH THOUGH, just at a much slower pace.
"Be harder to pick up after a break, 'steada soldiering on..."

"Are you a big fan of the Cup?"
