Our test drive meme is open to everyone, so please stop by for a little fun and see if you’d enjoy playing with us. The TDM primarily takes place in Gildenhirst, the main hub city for Bravely Borrows. The surrounding area of Caldisla is free game though! Please explore the setting as you desire.

A big part of Bravely Borrows is getting your very own job class! While all characters start the game as a Freelancer and receive a random job asterisk later on, for the sake of testing you may choose from the following job classes to mess around with:

Eggs Aplenty
Oh no. Oh dear. There has been a horrible series of mistakes surrounding ChantiLilly’s egg delivery. For one thing, it was delivered to the Central Market on the Ground Floor! For another thing, there are far too many eggs here. Dozens upon dozens upon dozens of eggs. The bakery’s Patissiere would be grateful if you could help bring these eggs up to his bakery in Rooftop Gardens. You’ll get some gold and some fresh eggs for your troubles.
This Bunny’s Buggin Me
A farmer from Norende is going batty over the swarm of bunnies that have been getting into his fields. Help a fella out, won’t ya? They are swarming en masse and ruining the spring start ups! Don’t expect to be able to herd them out without a fight though– these rabbies really pack a punch! They’re also carnivorous so…. Watch out?
A Rock and a Hard Place
An avid collector is searching for some new specimens. They’ve heard there are some expansive cave systems in the Norende Heights that just might be the perfect spot to collect some geodes. The only problem is that they’re an eensy teensy bit full of kobolds. You’ll be compensated for your troubles if you’d go collect some rocks, and every actual geode will get an extra reward. Please don’t fall off the cliffs…! The paths are narrow and harrowing at times. Good luck!

Hayate barely knows this girl, but he already feels like she'd become good friends with Freyja if they ever meet. Freyja's always been pretty good at making friends, better than himself, after all.
As he listens to Kyoko go on more about the dilemma he gives another laugh. Getting arrested for cooking eggs is ridiculous thing to hear, but... "Don't wanna have these guys kicking us out for burning down their home, though!"
As he says that, he thinks of something. "Wonder if that L’Abovo place'll let us use their kitchen if we got something specific we want to make?"
Not that Hayate himself ever would be proactive and take the initiative to cook. If decent food is provided, he'll gladly pay for it instead.
There was a beat. Kyoko blinked, and then gave a thoughtful little frown. "Intruding on the kitchen of an inn is pretty serious," she muses. "But maybe they wouldn't mind if we ask when it's not busy? It's not like eggs take a long time to make, either..." Hm, hm! "Are you staying there too?"
"Eh, they probably wouldn't mind." And since they're on the topic, "Wanna go together and hop into their kitchen?"
Not to be gluttonous, but talking about cooking eggs was starting to make him feel hungry. Hayate starts to turn to head towards L'Abovo but pauses when Kyoko asks. Was he going to stay? He doesn't take long to answer to that question, although he looks back to the scenery they were looking at just before the conversation started.
"...Why not? I'm here now, might as well stay for a bit." Who knows, maybe he'll find something he couldn't find while traveling the galaxy.
She had turned readily to follow him back to L'Abovo, about to quibble some more about the seriousness of intruding on a professional kitchen, but then his answer made her blink. "Huh? I just meant to ask if you were staying at L'Abovo, but... did you only just get here today?"
"Well, that too! Don't got enough money to buy my own place yet."
Hayate answered to the next question. He was going to bum off of L'Abovo's accommodation as long as possible before they most likely kicked him out, too.
"Pretty nice for them to offer newcomer discounts, huh?" He gives a grin to that as he starts making his way. Hopefully the other's following too.
"Sounds like you've been here for a while then, huh?"
"Oh, no--" Kyoko shook her head as they reached the stairs. Get ready for that long trip down, guys. "Only a few days. I'm still qualified for the 'newcomer discount' too, but we've got to save up while we have the chance, you know? That's why the free eggs would be a real help, if we can actually eat them."
At least it's the way down, not going up the long flight of stairs!
"Well, that makes more sense that you weren't sure what to do with the egg reward!" Hayate said as soon as he heard her response.
"I mean, worst case I guess you can try to see if something'll hatch?" He's not an animal activist or anything like that. "Not that I wanna try that..."
